Kelechi Mbah

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Kelechi Mbah is a Growth Hack Expert with 16 years of working experience in the Telecoms, Media, Consulting and Technology industry.

Her experience as she grew through the ranks of marketing, sales and business development span through a blue-chip company, pan African mid-sized enterprises and start-ups.

She has a background degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Clinical Chemistry and a post graduate diploma in Customer Service Management. From that time on she veered into Business Management. She had a Business and Entrepreneurship Education at Northwestern University Evanston Illinois and a Post Graduate Executive Education in Accelerating Sales Performance from the Kellogg School of Management, Evanston Illinois.

Kelechi was the First Place Winner of the eNNOVATENAIJA challenge 2015, a crowd sourced contest organized by the Nigeria Interbank Settlement Systems (NIBBS) in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on how to make the “Cashless policy more effective in our communities”. She was an awardee of the US consulate Department of Educational Affairs grant on the Techwomen-Go- Entrepreneurial project. A BET 5 Scholar of the Diamond Bank sponsored program and a Women X scholar of the World Bank sponsored Certified Entrepreneurship Management program, both at the Enterprise Development Center of the Lagos Business School. A trained Project Manager, a Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence and a global certified e-business professional from the EC Council.

Kelechi is a Certified Management Consultant, a Fellow of the Institute of Management consultants. A fellow of the Brand Managers in Nigeria and a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow.

Within the past seven years, she has played majorly in the technology space. She accelerated the cloud solutions program at Microsoft targeted at SMEs before she moved on to a Pan African fin-tech organization where she executed the acceleration of a new product aimed at enabling the underbanked and unbanked with access to digital financial services. Within 6 months, she grew the customer base of agents (who served as primary customers) on the platform by over 80%. (Today the primary customer base sits at about 20,000 agents with the organization concluding its first series of funding at $3m).

She moved on to serve as head for Strategy and Business growth at another fintech company where she helped move the business from ideation to market to become a reckoned high growth start-up according to Business Day.

Kelechi’s knack for integrity, equity, and justice led her to acquiring certifications within the legal corridors. She is an accredited mediator at the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse, with skills for resolving Business contract disputes, applying restorative Justice and a reputation for high settlement rates of disputes. She is a certified copyright scholar from the Harvard law school and the Berkman Klein Centre in conjunction with the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.

Kelechi is an avid reader, a tech enthusiast, a mentor of mentors, a wife and a mom.

Olusegun Ajayi

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Olusegun is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, an Accounting graduate with two decades of professional experience in diverse industries.

He successfully built the internal control system for a start-up conglomerate from the scratch. In the last two decades, Olusegun has gained core competencies in statutory and tax compliance in the sub-Sahara Africa region, global best practice treasury management, financial management, financial reporting, audit and internal control, company valuation, cost savings, and corporate strategy. He is also vast in macroeconomic analysis and monetary policy review to support strategic management initiatives and strategies

Olusegun started his career as a trainee treasurer at Schlumberger and grew through the ranks to become the geo-market treasurer and subsequently geo-market management Accountant for the company’s information system business segment, managing billions of Naira in operational funds and balance sheet. During this period, he got an award for best geo-market in treasury operations during a SARBOX audit that was conducted in the firm globally. In subsequent firms where he worked during his career, Olusegun has saved millions of naira in statutory and tax costs through effective tax planning. In the course of his career while in charge of the credit-control in a consulting concern, he positively turned around the working capital in excess of business operational needs providing room for investment which earned him the CEO’s award of excellence.

Olusegun has attended international training including Management Development Training Program: Weybridge UK, Operations Controller’s Training – Houston -USA, Financial Reporting Training, Dubai, and e-business training at London School of Economics, Uk. Other professional affiliations include the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered).

He enjoys listening to economic and socio-political discussions, watching investigative legal and journalism series, playing interactive sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Ibukun Awosika

Ibukun Awosika is an African entrepreneur, author, international leader, and global culture shaper. She is the Chairman and Founder of The Chair Centre Group, a leading furniture and security systems provider in Nigeria.

With an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from University of Ife and advanced degrees from various global institutions, including Lagos Business School, IESE Business School, Wharton and China European International Business School (CEIBS), Ibukun is both a student and leader of the world.

She serves as Chairman or Board member on various Corporate and non-profit boards around the world, cutting across Education (IESE Business School, Imperial Gate Schools, Pan Atlantic University), Energy (D-Light Inc.), IT (Digital Jewels Limited), Manufacturing (Cadbury Nigeria Plc), Retail (House of Tara International), Financial Services (Binance, Alitheia IDF Fund LP, Nigeria Advisory Board for Impact Investing), Corporate Governance (Convention on Business Integrity), Advocacy (Women in Management, Business and Public Service, IFVI International Foundation for Valuing Impacts), to mention a few.

In addition to her work leading businesses, Ibukun Awosika is also committed to serving nations. She was recently appointed to the UK G7 Impact Taskforce and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing (GSG). She is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and served on the pioneer board of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund.

Over the years, she has received numerous awards locally and internationally. Her most recent recognitions are the 2020 Forbes Woman Africa Chairperson Award and the Beta Gamma Sigma 2020 Business Achievement Award. She is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and Aspen Global Leadership Network. She is also a recipient of 4 Honorary Doctorate Degrees.

Ibukun Awosika has spoken at numerous world conferences and platforms, including the Global Leadership Summit, where she shares her knowledge on several economic, leadership and faith based topics. She is the founder of Ibukun Awosika Leadership Academy; Convener of The International Woman Leadership Conference in Dubai; also the founder of the Christian Missionary Fund, a faith-based organization that works with hundreds of missionaries spread across Nigeria to change lives through the provision of medical, educational and general relief.

Ibukun Awosika is a woman of many firsts; she was the first Female Chairperson of Nigeria’s Premier Bank, First Bank 2016 – 2021, the first Nigerian recipient of the prestigious International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award and the first African recipient of the International Friendship Award 2019 by the Queen of Spain.

As part of her commitment to investing in the next generation of business leaders, she started the 360 Executive Masterclass and The Life Series with Ibukun Awosika, which have directly impacted over 10,000 men and women and countless more across the world to date. She founded the Afterschool Graduate Development Centre, a career centre established to checkmate the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria. She is also a judge on Jack Ma’s Africa’s Business Heroes program for African entrepreneurs.

Ibukun Awosika has multiple expressions beyond the boardroom. She is a seasoned author and shapes culture through her active involvement in media and purposeful entertainment. She featured in the highly rated Netflix Original blockbuster movie, Citation, and was the Executive Producer of ‘God Calling’, another exceptional movie which was released on Netflix in 2020.

She is happily married to Abiodun Awosika and they are blessed with three wonderful sons.
