Digital Jewels successfully led yet another of its clients (NIMC) to certification stage of the ISO27001 standard.. The National Identity Management Commission was awarded the ISO27001:2005 certificate by the British Standard Institute (BSI) at a ceremony held on the 23rd of April 2014 in Abuja with all key stakeholders in attendance. According to the Director-General of NIMC, Barrister Chris Onyemenam “the whole essence of the certification is to ensure the integrity of the NIMC infrastructure as it concerns the National Database”. The attainment of the certification by NIMC means that the commission has independently verified and confirmed that all sensitive citizens and client information are secured and managed at the highest international standards.
The firm is currently supporting some other major institutions to attain their certification in various standards.
